15" (38 cm.) One piece all porcelain standing naked baby with arms posed in front and hands clasped,pink tinted overall complexion,black painted baby hair with stippled detail around the face,brown upper glancing shaded eyes with spiral thread detailing,black feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1880,the "bathing dolls" were designed for seaside play,and were constructed so as to be able to "float"; later they become known as "Frozen Charlotte" dolls after the well-known 19th century poem. Value Points: pink tinting,upper glancing brown eyes.
