Bisque socket head,brown glass inset eyes,painted lashes,brush-stroked brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with outlined lips,brunette mohair wig over plaster pate,composition and wooden fully-jointed body with elongated construction to accommodate the costume features. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9. Comments: Kestner,circa 1885. Value Points: beautiful bisque on closed mouth child,wearing outstanding folklore costume with richly embroidered elements,gold metallic edging,silk ribbons and shawl,and superb antique jewelry including coral necklace with heavy gold-plated cross,gold beads with medallion,and tiny scissors.
