Description
An elaborately tiered pavilion with steeply pitched roofe is decorated with dolphin-shaped finials,painted ranma transom panels with cherry blossom design,bamboo slat tsudare blinds,suspended kosudama floral balls at eaves,black lacquered frame with painted designs,interior raised agetatami dais,two diamond shaped pedestals black lacquer offering trays and orange and cherry tres. The nina-hingyo include the imperial couple (dairi-bina) ladies-in waiting (san'nin kanjo),musicians (gonin bayaski) footmen (shicho) and minister. Also included is an ox cart set with keuesaiku ox with red tassels,pulling a black lacquered carriage with steps,mounting stool and silk curtains. Condition: generally excellent,missing one lady in waiting and one minister. Comments: Japan,Show era,1930. Value Points: appealing smaller size,fine architectural details especially of roof.
