8" (20 cm.) Each has one piece carved wooden head and torso with ball-shaped head and very elongated throat,painted black hair and facial features,dowel jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,painted shoes. Condition: generally excellent,original finishes well preserved. Comments: Germany,Grodnertal,circa 1840,included is lady with painted yellow Tuck Comb and wearing original organza and silk gown and undergarments,and gentleman with painted moustache,original fitted costume. Value Points: wonderful original condition enhanced by artful painting of facial features,original costumes,included is early period dollhouse table and four chairs.
