9" (23 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome,very pale complexion,blue glass enamel
inset eyes,painted dark tiny lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,closed mouth with defined space between the accented lips,pierced ears,French
composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists,antique lace
dress,undergarments,black stockings and leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent,body of
the period and appropriately sized but not original. Marks: 3 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris
(body). Comments: Sonneberg mystery maker,designed to capture the French market,circa 1885.
Value Points: beautiful early doll closely resembling the early Jumeau bebe has very delicate pale
bisque and brilliant blue eyes.
