Having wood composite (toso) head with shell white (gofun) finish,painted facial details,inset glass eyes,silk fiber hair arranged in classic mage chignon with silk ties and metal ornaments,hands and forearms of wood,with wire body attachments allowing for positioning,open hands designed to hold a flowering branch or parasol. Condition: generally excellent,some fading to textiles. Comments: Japan,Taisho era,early 20th century. Value Points: the fashionable lady is dressed in a purple kosode kimono with assorted floral spray designs,secured at waist with a broad silk brocade obi tie belt with elaborate knot at the back,tall wood geta sandals.
