14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,plump facial modeling with
tiny hint of smile,tiny blue enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,short painted lashes,lightly feathered
brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth,accented lips,ears pierced into
head,brunette mohair wig,cork pate,kid poupee body with shapely torso and limbs,stitched and
separated fingers. Marks: 1. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French,attributed to
Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1865,identical to other signed models that just precede his deposed
smiling poupee. Value Points: very beautiful early poupee in appealing petite size,with beautiful
antique costume.
