14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head,black glass enamel inset eyes in deeply sculpted eye sockets with modeling details around the eyes,tinted brows,tiny upturned nose with accented nostrils,closed mouth with firm lip line,impressed philtrim,blushed high cheek bones,auburn human hair wig,five piece paper mache French body,wearing antique woolen and cotton suit and cap,socks,shoes. Condition: generally excellent,an original firing split at front crown rim with sideways emanating faint hairline. Marks: SFBJ 239 Poulbot Paris. Comments: designed by noted Parisian illustrator Poulbot,based upon his drawings of orphaned urchins of Montmartre following WWI,produced by SFBJ,as a part of the Renaissance of the French Doll artistic movement,circa 1915. Value Points: rare model made for one or two years only with very fine quality of sculpting.
