13" (33 cm.) Paper mache head with finely shaped facial features and aristocratic bearing,painted brown eyes,strong brows,aquiline nose,closed mouth,prominent sculpted moustache with long curled tips,long brunette flowing hair,muslin straw-filled body,paper mache lower arms and legs,large hands,painted boots. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: in finely preserved original condition,the gentleman wears formal regalia featuring black velvet jacket with embossed metallic paper trim,velvet cloak with "ermine" edging,"fur" trimmed cap,and carries sword.
