6" (15 cm.) largest doll. Each is all bisque doll with painted features,wigged or painted hair,and arranged as a novelty centerpiece of sewing or notions novelty. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: circa 1920,including both commercial and home-craft models; designs for creating these delightful novelties were printed in turn-of-the-century magazines such as Ladies Home Journal. Value Points: included is large pouty faced girl with padded silk party costume that serves as a pin-cushion,all-bisque girl with rose silk party dress and a padded derriere that is a pin-cushion,and two all-bisque babies enclosed in long silk ribbons designed to appear as baby gowns,but actually hiding sewing pins and needles.
