14" (36 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with sculpted short hair in boyish fashion waved across the forehead,painted facial features,large blue intaglio eyes with white eyedots,defined upper eyeliner and brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with pouty expression,center lip accent line,all-wooden spring-jointed body,nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll pat. Jan 17,1911,USA (torso). Comments: Schoenhut,circa 1912. Value Points: very fine sculpting on the early carved hair boy,original finish is well-preserved.
