6" (15 cm.) Three wax portrait dolls of black men and woman have hand-sculpted features and
hair in highly realistic sculpting,cotton costumes that are wax-dipped to retain their drape,and
each is posed on original stand. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Vargas family of New
Orleans,early 20th century. Value Points: very fine detailed sculpting of black man and woman
with sacks of cotton,and woman with fishing pole and two fish.
