10" (25 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with sculpted brown hair arranged in two neatly coiled braids at sides of face,comb-marked detail of hair,painted facial features,blue downcast eyes,black upper eyeliner,single stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and knees,painted shoes,antique costume appears original. Condition: generally excellent,left foot reglued at instep. Comments: Swiss,circa 1910. Value Points: excellent detail of carving enhanced by fine original patina of wood,fully articulated body.
