22" (56 cm.) h. dresser. A chestnut dresser with natural finish and painted ebony trim has three drawers,faux-marble top,mirrored back with candle shelves. Arranged upon the dresser are four miniature hand-blown glass domes in which are presented four different cast wax scenes referred to as "valentines",each with a countryside romantic scene such as a boy and girl hiding in the knot of an old tree,along with their dog,watching a swan in a nearby pond. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: mid-19th century. Value Points: increasingly rare to find miniature cast wax arrangements,are wonderfully preserved with delicate original coloring.
