22" (56 cm.) All cloth doll with imaginatively painted facial features, including large nose, thick brows, four lashes, heart-shaped red lip center, and blue eyeliner centering the black shoe-button eyes that are placed in a side-glancing manner, thick red yarn hair, red and white striped stockings, black sewn-on shoes, wearing pretty teal blue cotton flowered dress, pantalets, pinafore. Maker unknown, one-of-a-kind, circa 1930s, the doll was signed on its back torso by Worth Gruelle in 1992. Very good condition, some fading of features.
