painted facial features,wrapped armature body,well-detailed costume with a plethora of
accessories enhancing the social portrayal. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (some
marked "Colleciones Sasi. Palma de Mallorca..." with gold paper label). Comments: Spain,circa
1930s/1950s,from a series of highly stylized caricature figures of people,presented by
various makers of the time such as Klumpe,Sasi,Lodi and others. Value Points: delightful
group includes woman tennis player,nurse with baby,woman traveler with black Scotty dog
and baggage,woman skier with wooden skis,man fishing,woman painter with canvas,hunter
with duck,architect at the drafting table,man with newspaper,and bellhop over-laden with
packages,luggage,birdcage and dog.
