27" (69 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks,blue glass paperweight inset eyes,thick
dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,mauve blushed eye shadow,brush-stroked and feathered
brows,accented eye corners,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with defined space between the
shaded and outlined lips,brunette human hair over cork pate,French composition and wooden
fully jointed body with plump limbs,straight wrists,wearing red silk dress with lace trim,straw
bonnet with red silk lining,undergarments,black stockings,red silk shoes. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Depose E 13 J. (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,circa 1885. Value Points: superb quality of sculpting with elongated full cheeks and
dimples at chin,philtrum and lip corners,separately sculpted pierced ears,fine luminous
bisque,original body and body finish.
