Solid domed bisque head with flat-cut neck socket,blue glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,black curly lashes,brushstroked and feathered brows,accented nostrils,open mouth with accented lips,row of tiny porcelain teeth,pierced ears,blonde mohair curly wig,carton torso,kid over wooden hinged upper legs,paper mache arms and lower legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 210 Rue de Rivole Aux Tuileries,Maison Bail Jouets (paper label). Comments: Jules Steiner,his deposed model mechanical baby named "Gigoteur"; circa 1880,when keywound,the bebe waves arms and legs and turns head from side to side.
