Carved wooden socket head with carved chin-length bobbed hair and bangs, small intaglio carved blue eyes with heavy lids, tiny white eye-dots, lightly feathered brows, broad nose with pointy tip, closed mouth, full lips, all-wooden spring-jointed body, holes in feet for posing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (incised Schoenhut mark). Comments: Schoenhut, from the early line of carved hair models sculpted by Graziano for Schoenhut, model 100, made for less than a year, May 1911 to April 1912. Value Points: superb detail of sculpting on the wistful yet tomboyish girl, her detail of hair carving including turned up curl at the side and deeply sculpted combmarks, antique costume includes original knit teddy, original Schoenhut stockings, shoes and metal stand.
