Description
11" (28 cm.) A wooden box is covered with decorative paper and decorated with lithographed
image of a chef presenting cake to ladies at tea; inside is another image of a busy kitchen,a
paper mache chef with sculpted uniform,and various tasty miniature paper mache foods ranging
from roasts to cakes,along with utensils,mostly still tied to their original cardboard frames.
Excellent condition. French,circa 1890,the set was likely presented in a Paris department store
Etrennes catalog of the era.
