Pressed bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, very plump lower cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick black eyeliner, dark curly lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space with hint of painted teeth between the shaded lips, defined dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over cork pate, plump kid bebe body with gusset-jointing, bisque forearms and hands. Condition: generally excellent, old hairline on left arm and back of palm. Marks: Depose (front shoulder plate) Bru Jne No 7 (left shoulder). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1880, his model known as "circle/dot". Value Points: very beautiful example of the early bebe with superb modeling and painting of features, original body with beautifully sculpted hands, lovely antique embroidered costume, lace and silk bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes signed "Bru Jne Paris".
