17" (43 cm.) Poured wax shoulder head with plump facial modeling,cobalt blue glass enamel
inset eyes in deeply set eye sockets with heavy eye lids,tinted brows,eye corners and
nostrils,closed mouth with downcast lips,inserted blonde hair,softly stuffed muslin body,poured
wax lower arms and legs,wearing antique blue velvet tunic and knee-length pants that seem
original. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: possibly Montanari,circa 1880. Value Points:
appealing intelligent expression,original body and costume.
