Solid domed bisque socket head, painted brown boyish hair with defined forelock curl, small blue glass "jewel" inset eyes, painted brown curly lashes, incised eyeliner, short upper curved brows, accented nostrils, slightly parted accented lips, row of tiny porcelain upper teeth, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing black velvet Sunday best suit. Condition: generally excellent, body not original, one finger broken. Marks: SFBJ 227 Paris 4. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: exceptional quality of sculpting with rich definition of hair, laughter crinkles around eyes, and mouth and cheek dimples, fine bisque.
