Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, large amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely torso. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6 (and artist check marks on head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1880, transitional model poupee. Value Points: fine original condition, very sturdy body, beautiful large eyes, original chemise, and with (frail) original very elaborate gown.
