Description

8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, very plump facial features, large blue glass eyes, short painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, tiny closed mouth, peg-jointed bisque arms and legs, curved elbows and expressively posed fingers, very muscular shaped legs with tiny ankles, painted white ribbed stockings and yellow ankle boots with black tips, heels and laces, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885, the model known as "French wrestler" in reference to muscular body style. Value Points: among the rarest of the all-bisque models, in fine large size with well painted features, yellow boots.
