11" (28 cm.) Each has composition shoulder head with very expressive grumpy features,painted
facial features,side-glancing eyes,closed mouth,brunette mohair wig,muslin torso,composition
jointed limbs. Condition: generally excellent,one with sparse wig. Marks: Effanbee Dolls Walk
Talk Sleep (shoulder plate). Pennsylvania Dutch Dolls by Marie Polack Reg. U.S. pat. Off. (original
paper labels). Comments: circa 1935,depicting are "River Brethren" man and woman in original
grey and brown costumes,and Mennonite man and woman in original blue and black costumes.
