11" (28 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,very large blue glass enamel
inset eyes dark eyeliner,painted lashes,lightly feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye
corners,closed mouth with center accent line on lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig,kid gusset-
jointed child body with bisque lower arms,nicely costumed in Sunday best dress with
undergarments,little kid shoes. Condition: generally excellent,slight body patch on kid. Marks: 2
(head and shoulders). Comments: Sonnenberg,circa 1885,the model was made to capture the
French market,and closely resembles early portrait like Jumeau bebes. Value Points: most
endearing expression highlighted by large expressive eyes.
