25" (64 cm.) Of carved pinewood with beautiful graining, the mannequin has highly defined facial sculpting with solemn expression, swivel head, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles, and ball-swivel waist. The mannequin served as the inspiration for Leon Casimir Bru's deposed poupee wooden body, having the same articulations albeit with more highly refined sculpting and finish. Mid-19th century.
