16" (41 cm.) All cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, painted short brown hair with stippled details, sculpted ears, brown painted eyes with green shading and two tiny white eye dots, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with downcast pouty expression, muslin body with jointed arms, and disc-jointed hips, plump body style. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe kruse 82244 5651 (left foot) made in Germany 5651 (left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, circa 1920. Value Points: pristine condition of the wistful faced child with fine detail of modeling and artistic painting, wearing original peach dress, undergarments, socks, shoes, and having original KK paper label with "unique art dolls" label.
