Description
13" (33 cm.) One piece sculpted figurine of two brown-complexioned urchin boys standing
against a split rail fence; staring intently at each other,the taller boy seems to be telling the
wide-eyed younger lad a story; each has superb sculpted detail of hair and expressive facial
features,sculpted bisque costumes. The title "A Dark Secret" is lettered across the base,and the
piece is stamped "Made in Germany". Excellent condition except pointing finger restored,and
original firing line at front base. Reglue at neck of boy in plaid. Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910,a
fine large size of the rare figural vignette.
