Description
7" (18 cm.) The doll has bisque swivel head with brown sculpted short curly hair,chubby
face,brown glass sleep eyes,painted lashes and brows,open mouth with laughing
expression,two beaded lower teeth,bisque torso and loop-jointed limbs,painted socks and
pink shoes,original romper suit. Along with all-bisque standing dog with swivel head,blue
glass eyes,long droopy ears,loop-jointed paws,painted red shoes,painted black stripe of fur
at back and rope tail,incised detail of "fur" overall. Condition: generally excellent. Marks:
"Bonnie Babe copyright Georgene Averill" (paper label on chest of doll,and incised "17" on
neck and "897-17" inside the limbs). Rag Trademark copr by Georgene Averill 890/10
(incised on back of dog,and "890-10" inside paws.) Comments: designed by the American
artist,Georgene Averill,circa 1925,produced in Germany. Comments: very rare models in fine
original condition.
