11" (28 cm.) lady. Each has carved wooden head with painted brows,eyes,nostrils and lips,and
unusually detailed painting of hair,muslin body with wooden hands. Condition: generally
excellent. Comments: Door of Hope mission dolls,circa 1930,included are Young Lady of high
social rank with elaborately carved hair in bobbed fashion waved behind the highly carved ears
and decorated with four painted red flowers and leaves,wearing pale rose silk embroidered
costume; and two 8" girls,one a Schoolgirl with unusually sculpted bangs and barrette,wearing
cotton suit and matching slippers,and other in best silk costume with very elaborate headdress
and false hair. Value Points: three rare models with superb original details of hair and costume.
