brows,eyes,nostrils and lips,sculpted and painted hair,the Bride with carved chignon decorated
with combs and tassels and having stippled detailing of bangs,muslin bodies,wooden hands.
Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Door of Hope,Shanghai,circa 1930,represented are
Bride and Groom,each in elaborately detailed traditional silk wedding costumes indicating their
high social rank. Value Points: outstanding state of preservation with brilliant silk
colors,elaborate embroidery,extraordinary detail of bride's headdress and hair carving.
