27" (69 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead, plump face, black sculpted hair drawn from face into short childlike curls and captured at her crown with a black head band, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: detailed decoration of hair, the doll is wearing lovely antique costume comprising cut-work dress, embroidered cape, undergarments, and cameo necklace with profile carving of woman having long flowing hair, in gold-plated frame.
