Description
5" (13 cm.) h. 10" circ. A bisque head with flanged neck and solid dome has blonde sculpted topknot, forelock curl, side curls, sculpted blue wings, inset blue glass side-glancing eyes, black eyeliner, short painted curly lashes, dash brows, rounded small nose, closed mouth with thin line smile, impressed cheek dimples. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Made in Germany 1377 636. Comments: designed by Rose O'Neill, circa 1912, designed for presentation with cloth body, made in Germany. Value Points: very rare variation of the glass-eyed Kewpie is enhanced by superior quality of bisque and painting.
