Description
12" (30 cm.) One piece all-bisque head, torso and legs in classic standing pose, loop-jointed bisque arms, starfish-shaped fingers, sculpted topknot, forelock and side curls, blue wings, right-glancing googly eyes, black upper eyeliner and fringed lashes, dash brows, thin line smile. Condition: generally excellent, stringing loops (inside arms) need restoration, tiny flake at back of right arm. Marks: O'Neill (feet). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, produced in Germany, circa 1912. Value Points: rare large size all-bisque with beautiful painting, fine detail of blush.
