6.5" (17 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted short brown hair in so-called Campbell Kid style, painted blue side-glancing eyes, painted upper lashes and short brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pert smile, five piece paper mache body with painted shoes and socks, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 210 A 11/0 M Germany. Comments: Marseille, circa 1920, the model inspired by the Grace Drayton drawings of Campbell Kids children. Value Points: very appealing expression of shy wonderment.
