Description
17" (43 cm.) x 13" card. Still tied to their original factory sample card are 31 all-bisque comic nodders and other bisque novelty figures, in sizes ranging from 3"-4". 19 of the figures having "nodding" head or hats and include figures with incised names depicting their role in popular American comic strip of the early 20th century. Each has original factory inventory number on paper label below the object. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany (and name of character on some). Comments: attributed to Hertwig, circa 1920. Value Points: very rare original sample card, the figures having brilliant original costumes and painting.
