Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted reddish blonde hair having forelock curl and topped by a blue bellhop-like cap with red dotted band and black neck strap, blue glass side- glancing eyes, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing cotton blue and white costume, tall brown boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep elite E 2/0. Comments: Max Handwerck, circa 1915, from his helmet googly series. Value Points: very fine detail of sculpting including forelock curl, defined space between smiling lips, impressed dimples.
