Description
7" (18 cm.) Bisque socket head with solid dome, sculpted short hair with modeled forelock curls, "O" shaped large painted side- glancing googly eyes, painted upper dark lashes, dash brows, tiny nose, "O" shaped closed mouth modeled as though open, composition five piece toddler body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, feet worn. Marks: (Goebel symbol) N 11/0 Germany. Comments: Goebel, circa 1918, the painted eye version of #57. Value Points: rare googly character with wonderfully expressive features, choice bisque.
