Description
3.5" (9 cm.) and 4". Each is one piece all-bisque figure of seated Kewpie with classic topknot and blue wings, including larger model with right glancing googly eyes, right arm outstretched as though showing the insect that has alighted on its hand; and smaller model with feet and arms posed differently, head downcast, as though watching the ladybug resting on its left arm. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: c (circle). Comments: Germany, circa 1915, based on original Rose O'Neill designs. Value Points: amusing thematic style with variations in pose.
