Description
4.5" (11 cm.) and 5.5". Each is one piece all bisque figure of seated Kewpie with elbows resting on drawn-up knees, and head resting on elbows, in a parody take-off of Rodin's The Thinker sculpture. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet). Comments: designed by Rose O'Neill in a whimsical mood, made in Germany, circa 1915, the model was one of her most popular, and made in many sizes. Value Points: fine quality bisque, the pair are gazing at each other.
