Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1895, a childhood doll "Josephine" of Louise Edna Reggio, daughter of the Italian ambassador to Germany; it was a family custom that each time the couturier created a new costume for Louise's mother she would also create a duplicate costume for Josephine the doll. Included with the doll are two vintage photographs depicting Louise Edna with Josephine and other of her dolls (including the Bru Gourmand,#44 of this catalog).
