Carved wooden one piece head and torso with egg- shaped head, elongated throat, defined bosom, flat torso back, carved nose, tiny carved definition of chin, blue enamel inset eyes, tiny dot painted lashes, widely arched dot painted brows, closed mouth with center accent line, curly grey hair on original tacked on linen cap, wooden legs with jointing at hips and knees, cloth upper arms, hand-stitched kid hands, wearing fine early homespun gown with transfer painted designs, undergarments, ruffled bonnet. Condition: generally good, original and unrestored, large paint flake on cheek and at back neck. Comments: England, circa 1780.
