Description
22" (56 cm.) Thick paste porcelain shoulderhead with slightly pink-tinted complexion, brown sculpted side-parted hair in short boyish fashion and with thick pageboy style curls over the sculpted ears, well-defined facial features, small blue eyes in deeply-set sockets, red upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, well-defined chin, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain lower arms and hands, wearing antique gentleman's suit. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: KPM (blue stamp, see photo). Comments: KPM, Berlin, circa 1850. Value Points: the rare model has especially fine detail of hair sculpting in darkest brown color, fine sculpting of face including defined throat hollow and definition of eye sockets.
