19" (48 cm.) Arranged upon a textured platform is a closed book with an open book placed atop it; a young girl, Alice, is seated upon the closed book appearing to peer at the open pages in which different characters and sayings pop up and down as different pages are "turned", such as Tweedle Dee & Dum ("Which Twin ill Win?"), the King, the Jack ("It Takes a Diamond to Win a Heart") and Humpty Dumpty. The White Rabbit peeks over the top of the book. American, Baranger, circa 1925.
