19" (48 cm.) x 14" box. A red cardboard box with colorful
drawing on the lid depicting the circus set,interior lid
photographs showing play possibilities,and contains the
following animals,people and accessories: two clowns with
applied faces and original costumes,bisque-head acrobat lady
with original costume,elephant,dappled horse with balancing
stand,cloth ruff poodle,brown donkey,goat with goatee,horns
and ears,two chairs,two ladders,4 barrrels and stands,along with
an early Schoenhut catalog,and homemade programs and tickets
made by the German children who played with circus. All the
animals are glass-eyed. Condition: generally excellent,minor
play wear. Comments: Schoenhut,circa 1910. Value Points: fine
original condition,original box and catalog.
