Description
Of lustrous soft black silk taffeta the hip length jacket features a fitted waist and flared hips. The front is smoothly fitted, and there is a four-panel full back, full rounded collar and tapered length full sleeves. The jacket is trimmed with lavender silk braid edged with black silk loop piping. Near mint condition. Circa 1863.
