Description
Of very narrow vertically ribbed pique the gown features a fitted bodice with short capped sleeves and rounded neckline, flared skirt, scalloped edging with overcast stitching around the hem, neckline, sleeves, skirt panels and forming a detachable belt. Along with a silk wire-framed bonnet with silk thread edging and ivory silk ribbons and streamers. Circa 1863. Excellent condition.
