Description
Of crisp yet sheer white cotton,the gown features short flared
sleeves with ruffled and scalloped edging that is repeated in the
elongated collar that rounds the back neckline and forms into an
extended length criss-cross at the front bodice. The tightly
gathered skirt has four tiers of gathers that are edged by
scalloping finished in overcast silk thread. The dress is,at
once,airy and voluminous. Circa 1863. Near mint condition.
